The Human Relations Service (HRS) seeks a psychologist, social worker, or mental health counselor for the position of Outreach Clinician to serve the students of Wellesley Public Middle School. This position is open for licensed clinicians as well as clinicians on the path toward independent licensure. 

This unique and innovative position involves onsite work at Wellesley Middle School including: short-term counseling with students who are not on Individualized Education Plans and may not have access to counseling support outside of school; providing referrals to outside providers as indicated; consulting with the WLMS guidance department and teaching staff; running groups for students identified by WLMS staff; and, providing psycho-educational programming and consultation as needed. The Outreach Clinician will work in partnership with the WMS Guidance Department and HRS to identify and meet mental health needs within the school community.  This position offers a unique opportunity to work at a community mental health clinic as well as within the school system in the town of Wellesley and partner with their exceptional staff to meet the mental health needs of students who may not otherwise have access to such support. 

This is a part-time (15 hours/week, .4 FTE) salary with the option to add additional outpatient work at HRS. The position is a paid 12 month position with a break in July and August. Weekly individual supervision, peer supervision, and in-service training provided. Schedule is negotiable. Mondays 11am-2pm required for agency meetings.

Compensation

$27, 860 base salary with option for over-base direct service clinical hours at fee for service rate; eligible for health and flexible spending benefits. Paid holidays and school vacations following theWLPS academic calendar; this is a 12 month paid position with July and August off per the WLPS calendar. Outreach work is only required while school is in session.
